Welcome to Homer Township, the South-western most township in Medina County, Ohio. Established in 1831, the township remains rural and agricultural with a large Amish population.

Trustee meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If a meeting falls on a National Holiday, the meeting will be held on the following work day. Zoning Commission meetings are held the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Board of Zoning Appeals meets the first Thursday at 7:00 p.m. or as needed. Homer Township Hall is located at 8964 Spencer Rd. (SR 301 North of SR 224).

Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a hearing on Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 pm at the Homerville Community Center to discuss the building of small sheds for a saw mill on Zimmerman Road.
Zoning Commission Meeting
The Zoning Commission will be holding their July meeting on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm at the Homerville Community Center.
Zoning Commission Hearing
Homer Twp. Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at
7:00 p.m. at the Homerville Community Center.
The purpose of the hearing is to received public comment on proposed amendments to Article VI
– Signs and Article II – Definitions in the Homer Twp. Zoning Resolution.
The proposed changes may be viewed by appt. at the office of the Homer Twp. Fiscal Officer
who may be contacted at330-612-0809, or email at fiscal.officer@homertwpohio.gov.
After the conclusion of the public hearing, the amendment will be submitted to the Homer Twp.
Trustees for their action.
